Looks a ton better. Your plates are still a too big and need to be trimmed and shaped (look flat). I know you still have a few years to grow and before you can become a OM. Do you have another waist item besides the girth belt? Also food for thought on the Jaig Eyes: https://mandalorianarmour.wordpress.com/2022/01/30/jaig-eyes-update-to-helmet/

Looking good. Your plates will need to be resized they look a little too big. You can find girth belts or cinch belts at tack shops, such as runnings or tractor supply. In the horse section.

I posted a link on the Mercs site, but will also put it here. Use this for templates and it will make your armor the correct shape. You may be able to overlay over your existing plates to not waste your old ones. http://mandalorianmercs.org/get-involved/costume-templates/

Here is the almost completed draft. All I need is a girth belt. Do you have any recommendations for where to get one? or how to make one? Thank you!

Some weathering work from a few weeks ago for a costume in The Dark Empire for a Fallen Jedi from SWTOR. Same application methods for weathering can be applied to your Mando kits. You can read more about it on my WIP blog:…[Read more]

Here is a way you can make your own leather flak vest to hold your armour on. Use an old leather jacket, make sure it fits by wearing it backwards and having someone zip you up. If it is a tight fit then you can use it as a flak vest. Simply cut the sleeves off (keep some of the sleeve for attachment of your shoulder bells). Then attach armour…[Read more]

Note: On your answer for #12 it was a trick question; nothing about which era they are allowed in. Example, a late crusader kit can have leather gauntlets. Awesome job!! Look forward to seeing more challenges completed by you.

Last week at an armour party I worked with my brother on his own kit. First step was weathering his flightsuit (old pair of mechanic coveralls). He did a few burn outs and ruin a zipper, but we replaced it with snaps. We also painted his plates and used toothpaste as a masking fluid. What are you Vode doing for the weathering challenge this…[Read more]

Sweet looking forward to a few pictures of your kit so far. I just picked up a 4\’x4\’ sheet of 3mm sintra this afternoon. Time to make some armour this spring.
