Fridays are great for spray painting and weathering! It was a bit chilly, but the low humidity made it worth it. I worked on my gauntlets, shins, shoulders, knees, and epaulettes. A bit of everything, from filler primer, to silver, to color and masking with liquid latex.

All of my armor is 3D printed. I do about three coats of UV resin, sand with 80, 120, 240, and 400, spray about two coats of filler primer and wetsand with 400 & 600. Two coats of silver, wetsanding in between with 2000 grit. Mask damage with liquid latex (I use Humbrol Maskol), one coat of black, mask off the damage again a little larger to protect the silver chips and the black edges, and then two coats of blue. At this point, I’ll wetsand with 600-800 to smooth out the paint texture before adding another color or doing a black wash.

It seems I can’t put two pictures in here, but I’ll attach one of some weathering from today. On this one, I still haven’t gotten to the accent colors yet!
